Proven Leadership, Local Solutions
I’m Dr. Nikki Miller, Republican candidate for Delaware’s 20th District. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and community leader in Sussex County, I bring a lifetime of results-driven leadership. My priorities reflect what matters most to our families: better roads, quality education, safety and protecting the Sussex way of life.
Ensuring Strong Schools & Responsive, Active Representation
-
I support full funding for public schools, including teacher recruitment, retention, and classroom resources
-
I'll work to forge partnerships between schools, parents, and local employers to strengthen student outcomes
-
As your Representative, I'll work to increase access to support services, especially for students with learning and behavioral needs
-
I'll commit to a full-time constituent service model to ensure responsive, solution-oriented advocacy in Dover
Traffic Relief, Public Safety & Infrastructure Investment for the Cape Region
-
I'll prioritize DelDOT and County Council partnerships to ease congestion on Route 1, Route 9, and local roads
-
I will commit to securing funding for sidewalk expansion, safer crosswalks, and rural road improvements
-
I will advocate for upgrades to stormwater systems and aging bridges in growth corridors
-
I will work to continue to expand broadband access for underserved parts of our district
-
I'll foster collaboration with state and local law enforcement to improve public safety
Smart Growth, Farmland Protection & Open Space
-
I'll work with our local governments to require infrastructure and school capacity reviews before approving major developments
-
I will make a priority to move to increase state investment in farmland and open space preservation, as well as conservation easements
-
I'll work to strengthen local planning boards to ensure growth decisions remain community-driven
-
I support tools for towns and counties to manage growth in line with local needs and character
Responsible Housing Policy
-
I support affordable housing options that align with existing infrastructure and school capacity
-
I believe we should encourage mixed-use development in designated growth areas, not rural farmlands
-
I believe that it is paramount that housing policies respect municipal services and preserve small-town character
